Amazing Opportunities for Newly Qualified & Experienced Nurses

Opportunities for Experienced and Graduate Nurses in Southern England

I’m just sitting in our newly redesigned Cpl Healthcare offices on Merchants Road in Galway city and I’m trying to figure out how to reach out to experienced and graduate Nurses who may be interested in our Nursing vacancies.   I then thought I’d ask for your help, the social media gurus of our society!  My task is to attract top Irish Nursing talent to our client’s vacancies in the UK and I must admit I am not an expert at surfing the World Wide Web for CVs.

Our client is the “Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust” and having visited the site and spoken to several people, I can personally vouch for the organisation.  If you require further evidence I would tell you that we placed 85 nurses with this trust last year and 12 months on 80 remain. Nurses placed have stayed with the organisation as there’s a very positive culture in the hospital, with the leadership team supporting and encouraging their staff to reach their full potential.  The location is also an advantage; the cultural city of Exeter has an international airport and is 20 minutes from one of the finest surfing beaches in Ireland and England.

Have you any advice or tips for me, how will I reach out to experienced and final year nursing students to notify them of these great opportunities?  I’ve been in recruitment for many years but with the recent trend of job seekers changing their behaviour and looking for jobs in non traditional places such as facebook & youtube I’m at a loss where to start!  I have added status updates on my profile but I’m not sure it’s reaching the right audience.

I’ve been reading the papers (see I’m old school) and understand that only eight graduate nurses have been employed under the controversial two year contracts on lower pay offered by the HSE, with another five due to start next month.  What are all the other final year Nursing students going to do in Jan 2014?  If you know of any fourth year General Nursing students who would consider pursuing a career with the NHS in England (equivalent to the HSE), do ask them to contact me.

Here are some reasons why a Nurse would consider working for the NHS
