Deputy Team Leader/Senior Nurse, Inpatient Palliative Care Unit, London

In partnership with its client, Cpl Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Palliative Care Nurse for a permanent senior position in London. 

The Client:
An independent hospice providing pain control and symptom relief for those whose illness cannot be cured. Patients are treated both in their own homes and in the hospice.  Their 12 bedded Inpatient unit offers 24 hour Nursing and medical assessment, symptom management, respite and end of life care.  Many patients are admitted for short periods only, for a specific problem, and are able to go home again following assessment and treatment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Working closely with the Team Leader, balancing advanced clinical skills, clinical leadership and senior Nursing responsibilities in the field of palliative care, to deliver a holistic approach to patient centred care, which is of an excellent standard and meets the needs of individual patients and their families/carers.

Job Requirements:

• General Nursing qualification with previous experience in an Oncology or Palliative Care setting in the UK/Ireland
• Post-graduate qualification in Oncology/Palliative Care Nursing preferable
• Managerial and Leadership experience an advantage
• Full NMC registration – www.nmc-uk.org
• Fluent English and permission to work in the UK a must.

37½ hours per week, 24-hour rotation expected of all Nursing posts.  Salary dependent on experience , benefits include free parking and subsidised catering.
