Counsellor Therapists required for a number of sessional community based assignments within the HSE primary care services (CIPC)in Wicklow East, Wicklow South and Dublin South. Included areas are Arklow, Newtownmountkennedy, Shillelagh, Tinahealy, Rathdrum, Avoca, Annamore and Roundwood.

The roles will involve providing a counselling service to clients presenting via GP referrals with non-complex psychological difficulties.

In order to be considered for these assignments, candidates must possess:

• A recognised qualification at Level 7 or higher qualification on the NQAI  framework in Medicine, relevant Health & Social Care Professionals (e.g. Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy) or registered or eligible to be registered as a Nurse with An Bord Altranais

And

• An Accredited qualification in counselling or psychotherapy recognized by the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, a relevant body within the Irish Council for Psychotherapy, the Irish Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy and  or equivalent body in another jurisdiction, of  which there is sufficient theoretical content, clinical placements, skills training and personal development as part of the qualification

Plus

• A minimum of two years experience (in respect of full-time post-graduate qualifications this will not apply)

OR

• A post-graduate qualification in counselling or clinical psychology recognise by the Psychological Society of Ireland
