The Prison Service operates with locations all across Victoria and is leading the way for their state-of-the-art facilities. All specialties are welcomed, and adequate training will be provided.

Essential Requirements:

• Clinicians must be registered psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, or counsellor’s with the required professional boards or associations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Victorian Criminal Justice System.
• Familiarity with offender rehabilitation literature and the application of the Good Lives Model (GLM) and principles of Risk Need Responsivity (RNR).
• Experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and best-practice therapeutic frameworks for working with offenders.
• Experience in clinical and/or risk assessments, individual and group intervention.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable:

• Post-graduate qualifications in your chosen discipline.
• PBA practice endorsement in a specialist field of Psychology (Psychologists only).
• Membership in relevant Professional Bodies or organizations.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work within a correctional setting, which will involve direct contact with prisoners.
• Valid and current full Australian driver’s license or ability to get one.
• Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Work outside of ordinary business hours may be required on occasion.
