Basic Grade Children’s Physiotherapist

Cpl Healthcare are working in conjunction with a well-established, community-based organisation who provide services to individuals with intellectual disabilities. We are seeking a Basic-Grade Physio in Children’s Services to join the team to help implement programmes of care and education.


Purpose of the Role:

To provide a high-quality person-centred Physiotherapy Therapy service to children with physical and intellectual disabilities. The service provides assessment and implementation of physiotherapy intervention and provision of essential equipment, postural management, and orthotics as part of community disability network services within a family centred model of care.


Essential Criteria:

  • Hold a Physiotherapy qualification recognised by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU – candidates must state CORU registration number on application, or CORU application number and date of submission if still awaiting registration number in the case of section 91 applicants.
  • Evidence of participation in continued professional development e.g. Postural Management , Orthotics & Intellectual disability
  • Experience working in the area of Intellectual Disabilities and or Disability Services would be an advantage.
  • Excellent Written and Oral communication skills
  • Full Driver’s Licence and access to own car


Desirable Experience:

  • Experience working with children and people with Intellectual Disabilities
  • Compliance in the development, promotion, and implementation of infection control guidelines


Salary and qualifications are in accordance with HSE consolidated pay scales €37,022 - €54,029 inc LSI per annum.
