CPL are actively recruiting Basic Grade Occupational therapists for our client Stewarts care. Stewarts care run a wide range of services to people with intellectual disabilities. The services are provided irrespective of the individuals level of need and will always take cognizance of the persons dignity and respect. The primary objective of Stewarts care is to provide optimum services of promoting education, wellbeing, dignity, health and happiness of those with intellectual dignity.

Stewarts care operates from two sites at Palmerstown, and Balgaddy in South West Dublin as well as there being multiple residential and day services throughout West Dublin and North Kildare.

Reporting Relationship: Children’s Disability Network Manager

Location: Children’s Disability Network Team 6 – Palmerstown Mill Lane, Palmerstown

Job Purpose:

The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a quality evidence based Occupational Therapy service including assessing, planning and implementing family centred occupational therapy intervention based on the individual needs of children and young people ( 0 to 18) and their families supported by the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) 5, Lucan. The service is provided within the Progressing Disabilities Programme for Children and young people (PDS) framework, with interdisciplinary team working and family centred practice at its core.

The ideal candidate will hold:

  • Full clean drivers licence.
  • Demonstrate competence and capability of undertaking the duties attached to the office.
  • Hold a qualification in Occupational therapy approved by the Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland at CORU.
  • Practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Occupational Therapist register maintained by the Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland and CORU.

This is a full time contract of 37 hours per week with a 7.4 hour standard working day.
