Cpl Healthcare has a unique opportunity for a senior medical professional for the role of Chief Medical Officer. This role is with a national public body and offers the successful candidate an opportunity to grow and develop not just the service itself but also their own career in a business environment.

Reporting to The Chief Executive Officers and Director of Human Resources, you will be responsible for advising senior management on all aspects of a Specialist Occupational Health Service required by the company, working collaboratively with the Health & Wellbeing teams across the organization on their various strategies to ensure a culture of health and wellbeing company wide.

To be considered for the role the following selection criteria will apply:

  • Primary Qualification in Medicine from a recognised Medical School/University.
  • Membership of the Irish College of GPs or Royal College of Physicians Ireland or equivalent, essential.
  • Membership of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine, Royal College of Physicians of Ireland or equivalent, essential.
  • On the Specialist Register of the Medical Council of Ireland in Occupational Medicine, essential.
  • Fellowship of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland or equivalent, essential.
  • Experience in and Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation, essential.
  • Previous experience and accreditation in Traffic medicine would be a distinct advantage.
  • Proven Leadership, delegating and motivating
  • Certification or experience in the provision of Medical Review Officer reporting for an established work-based Drug and Alcohol testing program would be highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of modern business focused medical standards and
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and simple
  • Eligible to work in Ireland.
