Description:

Mercy University Hospital, Cork is a Catholic Voluntary Hospital founded in 1857 by
the Sisters of Mercy. It is a centre of National and International excellence, renowned
for its research and tertiary services and is a teaching hospital of University College Cork.
The Mercy University Hospital provides specialist in-patient, day-patient out-patient
services and accident and 24/7 emergency services in the centre of Cork City.

We are currently looking for a candidate to fill the post of Clinical Nurse Manager 2, in the Hepatobiliary Pancreatic Surgical Oncology Service on a permanent contract

The successful applicant will:

  • Be registered in the general division of the Register of Nurses maintained by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland or be eligible to be so registered.
  • Have at least 5 years post registration clinical experience of which 2 years must be experience in acute surgical nursing.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, and be able to demonstrate a high standard of verbal and written communication skills
  • Will demonstrate evidence of a commitment to personal professional development, training and nursing research.

Desirable

  • Will hold a recognised post-registration qualification in applicable to area of Nursing or be willing to undertake such a qualification.
