Clinical Pharmacist – South Dublin

Description:

Cpl Healthcare in association with our client, a leading organisation that provides a wide range of residential, respite and day services to almost 400 children and adults with intellectual disabilities is currently seeking to recruit a Clinical Pharmacist for a part time opportunity in a Dublin 6.

Please note we are accepting applications from experienced Community Pharmacists.

This role will be offered on a 12 month Specified Purpose Contract and will require the applicant to work 17.5 hours per week. The salary scale will be as per the public sector payscales

The Role requirements: 

  • Ensuring a smooth transition to a local community pharmacy for people we support moving to community housing. Liaising with community pharmacists to ensure a safe transition, with adequate documentation in place, for medication administration by staff or self-administration by individuals.
  • Co-ordinating campus medication supply ensuring adequate stocks of medications are available.
  • Carrying out medication audit and reviews: To promote a culture of reporting of medication errors and learning by grading and analysing medication errors.
  • Providing appropriate advice to medical and nursing staff as the need arises or as requested.
  • Maintaining a safe and secure environment for the storage of medication.Partaking in policy development and policy implementation.
  • Liaising with the Clinical Services Manager, Head of Supported Living Services and visiting GP in matters relating to medication.

Professional Qualifications and Experience

  • Be a registered Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) or be entitled to be so registered
