Registered Mental Health Nurses required in Guernsey, Channel Islands.

Full Time

Grade: Band 5 £36,899 - £42,779 BAR £43,954 - £47,590 per annum.

Grade: Band 6 £43,954 - £52,932 BAR £54,643 - £59,343 per annum

The States of Guernsey are looking for Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) who are passionate about what they do, to work as part of their mental health teams -Acute Inpatient Wards, Older Adult Residential Services and Community Outreach. 

Selection Criteria: 

ESSENTIAL

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse.
  • Motivation to work towards the continued improvement and development of the service 
  • being delivered.
  • Willingness to engage in projects to enhance the delivery of care – inclusive of regular 
  • audits.
  • Autonomously undertake the role of Nurse Lead in the coordination of service user care 
  • within a multi-disciplinary team approach.
  • Evidence of effective Communication/ Interpersonal skills.
  • Evidence of Enthusiasm / Motivation for this role and use of initiative.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, offering 24 hours service delivery.
  • Be able to demonstrate good time keeping and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate the importance of accurate record keeping and ability to audit such records for 
  • acceptable minimum standards.
  • Demonstrate willingness and the ability to undertake training in the physical management 
  • of violence and aggression.
  • Be able to provide support and VQ evidence for team members undertaking further 
  • qualifications within the workplace.
  •  Demonstrate a caring and empathic approach to individuals treating service users with 
  • dignity and respect.
  • In the absence of more senior team members demonstrate the ability to lead the team 
  • within the remit of the organisations policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Demonstrate high levels of motivation and drive, using initiative, innovation and working 
  • towards the wider organisations vision.
  • Good level of general fitness.
  • To be an effective team worker.
  • Demonstrate the capacity to treat service users with equality and diversity respecting their 
  • individual rights and contributing to good practice standards and guidelines.
  • For the post holder to work within the remit of the Recovery Model.

DESIRABLE

  • Driving Licence – current and valid

Must be authorised to live and work in Guernsey is required, sponsorship is not an option right now.

Note:

Our client offer a full relocation package which includes interview and relocation travel, this is in addition to their competitive pay (better than the UK) and annual bonus and additional bonus scheme of £3,000, payable after two and four years service.
