Person in Charge, Intellectual Disability Service – Dublin & Kildare

Full Time Permanent position

Salary Scale:  €44,288 to €52,191 per annum


In association with our client a reputable Intellectual Disability services provider in Dublin & Kildare, we are seeking to recruit Person in Charge.


The Role:

To be responsible for the management, care and support of service users, to ensure that the optimum standard of care and individualised support is provided within the designated area(s) of responsibility.

The primary role of the Person in Charge 1 will be one of clinical and professional leadership and development in the care team, including the development of nursing staff and care staff by means of supervision, orientation of new staff and arranging for clinical experience and preceptorship of student nurses



•Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) or have completed a Social Care (Honours) Degree.

•Have at least 3 years post registration experience of which one must be in the specialty area of Intellectual Disability.

•A minimum of 3 years’ post qualification management / supervisory experience.

•An in-depth knowledge of the HIQA Standards & Health Act 2007-2013 Regulations.

•A strong person-centred focus.

•Full clean driving licence.

•Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.

•Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
