Prevention Nurse Co-ordinator, Mayo Ireland

In association with our client Cpl Healthcare are seeking to recruit an experienced cardiology nurse for a Prevention Nurse Co-ordinator role based in the West of Ireland.  This is a one-year fixed term contract, with potential for extension. 

The successful candidate will deliver a range of cardiovascular disease prevention and education initiatives, in the community.  With support from the MDT the post holder will co-ordinate and develop the “Mayo Action on Heart Disease & Stroke” programme.  This is a community based cardiovascular disease prevention initiative.  The position will be based primarily at the HSE headquarters in Castlebar but will require travel throughout the county and Galway.


Be Registered with NMBI – General Division

Have 3 years recent experience working with cardiac patients in a hospital, primary care and/or community setting

A post graduate qualification in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous;

  • Cardiac Nursing
  • Preventive Cardiology
  • Practice Nursing
  • Cardiac Rehabilitation
  • Health Promotion
  • Health Research
