Radiographer North Dublin City

Basic Grade Radiographer, required for specific purpose contract post in North Dublin city trauma hospital. Apply now, interview immediately.

The successful applicant will work as a Radiographer serving a busy trauma service and will be provide a range of imaging services including emergency dept, services in minor and major trauma, and resuscitation mobile imaging and/ or operating theatres as well as standard imaging for acutely and chronically ill patients within an inpatient setting.

Job Responsibilities:
Management of own case load.
To undertake Radiographic and Imaging Examinations as required
General Radiography: Mobiles, IVU Intravenous Urography
To take part in routine daily inspection of equipment and quality assurance procedures.
To report any defects or problems to Consultant Radiologist.
To be familiar with, and abide by, all Health and Safety Rules and recommendations
To provide a quality service for patients by ensuring that every patient is treated as an individual in terms of courtesy, kindness, efficiency and confidentiality.
To be familiar with, and to observe, the Radiology Dept Guidelines which forms the basis of treatment and procedures of the department.
Ensure that Radiation Protection Rules are applied at all times and to be familiar with, and obey the Ionising Radiation Regulations and Ionising Radiation (Protection of Patients) Regulations.

The Candidate:
A recognised qualification in Radiography an CORU registration
Ideally at least 1 year post graduate experience.
Permission to work in Ireland
Ability to prioritise workload and patient accordingly
Professional approach to work
Flexibility in work practice and ability to work well under pressure
