Senior Grade Occupational Therapist

Full Time // DublinSalary: €40235 - €64000

Description:

CPL Healthcare in conjunction with The Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in the Dublin North, Dublin North Central and Dublin Northwest (CHODNCC) areas, are seeking a Senior Grade Occupational Therapist to work with children and young people (0-18) with a range of complex needs. The role will involve interdisciplinary team working and family centred practice.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To carry an appropriate clinical caseload assigned by CDNM, based on the clinical need of the CDNT.
  • To prioritise referrals and manage waiting list in order to optimise the quality, efficacy and equity of the service provided.
  • Be responsible for the maintenance of standards of practice of self and staff appointed to clinical / designated area(s).
  • Understand and be able to implement risk assessment for splinting/casting, equipment provision, as well as non-provision of service
  • To prioritise together with the CDNM and the Occupational Therapist Manager referrals and involvement with service users/centres in order to optimise the quality, efficacy and equity of the service provided. To maintain a waiting list when necessary.

Essential Criteria

  • Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy Studies or equivalent qualification.
  • Membership or eligibility for membership of the Irish Association of Occupational Therapists
  • Minimum of three years satisfactory post qualification experience
  • Experience of working with children with complex needs
  • Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU or be eligible for registration.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and strong command of English.
  • Relevant ICT skills

Salary/Benefits

  • Range: €54,677 to €64,380 (experience dependent)
  • Pension
  • Annual Leave – 30 days pa
  • 35 hours per week
  • Relocation package - if applicable
