Senior Hospital Pharmacist – PCRS

Full Time // FinglasSalary: €61000 - €68000


Cpl Healthcare is association with our client are currently seeking to recruit 2 Senior Pharmacists to within the Primary care Reimbursement Service in Dublin 11.

The role will be offered on a full time 12 month contract basis.

Essential Criteria for Role:

  • Demonstrate up to date knowledge of pharmacology and therapeutics.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of relevant law, ethics and legislation relating to medicines and reimbursement.
  • Demonstrate a familiarity and understanding of the laws and regulations underpinning pharmacy service delivery.
  • Demonstrate the requisite clinical and professional knowledge to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role.
  • Demonstrate evidence of organisation and management skills including awareness of resource management and importance of value for money and the financial issues related to medication management.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage and develop self and others in a busy working environment including the ability to prioritise workload according to need.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage deadlines and effectively handle multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrate leadership and team management skills including the ability to work with multi-disciplinary team members.
  • Demonstrate an excellent understanding of the needs of patients relative to the provision of pharmacy services.
  • Demonstrate the ability to evaluate information, make effective decisions and solve problems in a complex working environment.
  • Demonstrate commitment to providing a quality service and high standards and to strive for a user centred service.
  • Demonstrate initiative and innovation in identifying and acting upon areas for service improvement.
  • Demonstrate evidence of ability to empathise with and treat patients, relatives and colleagues with dignity and respect.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills (both written and oral) including; the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Demonstrate awareness of the security considerations/confidentiality involved in working in a pharmacy related role.
  • Demonstrate evidence of computer skills including use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Professional Qualifications, Experience

  • Is a registered Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) or be entitled to be so registered
  • Have at least three years satisfactory post registration experience
  • Possess a knowledge of the operation of Primary Care Reimbursement Service (PCRS).

Additional Requirements

  • Candidates must possess the requisite clinical knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
  • Demonstrate depth and breadth of Community Pharmacy Experience.
  • Demonstrate depth and breadth of Clinical Pharmacy experience.
