Senior Occupational Therapists- St. Mary's Hospital, Phoenix Park, Dublin 20

Senior Occupational Therapist required by Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with the HSE, for a new opportunity based in St Marys Hospital, Phoenix Park, Dublin 20.

Job Responsibilities:

• This role will be offered on a temporary part time basis in the rehabilitation units made up of 101 beds.

• Provide assessment and intervention

• St Marys Hospital and Phoenix Park Community Nursing unit (PPCNU) is the largest older adult site in Ireland located in the Phoenix Park, which provides a wide range of rehabilitation services, a day hospital service which provides multidisciplinary assessment and intervention to older persons in the community and residential care in our Nursing Home units.

• The candidate will work alongside a team of Senior Occupational Therapists, staff grade OT’s, OTA’s and a horticultural therapist as part of the rehabilitation team completing assessment, intervention and discharge planning. The candidate will work alongside a large MDT comprised of Physiotherapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Dieticians, Medical teams and nursing.

• The OT team work across the campus of St Marys Hospital and PPCNU and have a wide range of skills which they will be able to share through individual sessions and in-services and provide support and advice with this role. There is a supportive supervision and CPD structure within the department with a strong focus on individualised learning and growth as a therapist.

The Candidate:

• A recognised qualification as an Occupational Therapist with CORU registration

• Permission to work in Ireland- we do not sponsor visa's

• Professional approach to work

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in older adult care

• Experience in older person rehabilitation care

• Experience in seating and pressure care desirable

• Strong interpersonal, communication skills and command of English
