Senior Speech and Language Therapist – Naas General Hospital, Co. Kildare

Cpl Healthcare is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist, Senior Grade (initial 7 month duration with likely extension) required for an acute hospital, Co. Kildare.

The Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) department in Naas General Hospital provides an evidence based and high quality service to adults across all acute services including Critical care, Stroke, Age-related care, Respiratory, General Medicine and Surgery.

The successful candidate will work in the established SLT team and will assess, diagnose and treat communication and swallowing difficulties of adults across the inpatient acute medical wards. There is consistent provision of Videofluoroscopy, FEES and tracheostomy services. There is a strong emphasis on supervision and mentorship in the department.

Interested candidates will have:

• A recognised qualification in Speech & Language Therapy with CORU registration
• A minimum of 3 years post graduate experience, including work in an acute setting
• Dysphagia qualification and experience
• Videofluoroscopy & Tracheostomy experience would be desirable, however, not essential
