Seeking a Social Care Work

Permanent Position

Intellectual Disability sector

My client is currently seeking an experienced social care worker to join their small team, in supporting young individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism within a residential setting. This is a full time, permanent post based in north Dublin, just off the M1.
The role involves providing an individualised care plan to these young people, supporting them daily to give them the best life possible, as they enter adulthood.

Requirements for Role:

  • Recognised qualification on Social Care/ Applied Social Studies- Social Care (Min. level 7 on National Framework of Qualifications)
  • Minimum two years experience working in the intellectual disability sector
  • Experience working with young people with behaviours that challenge
  • Strong working knowledge on Childrens First, Child Protection, HIQA and all other relevant legislations
  • Excellent communication skills and well adapt at planning and organising
  • Proficient in report writing, ensuring all files are kept fully up to date
  • Trained in MAPA, Manual Handling, First Aid and SAM
  • Full, clean drivers license is essential
