Cpl Healthcare are excited to announce we have partnered with our client in South Tipperary to recruit Social Pedagogue/ Social Care Worker to meet the requirements of young people aged between 11 and 18 whose therapeutic needs are not being met in traditional care settings.
This is an exciting role for someone who is experienced or newly graduated and enthusiastic to help young people to feel safe in a caring home where they can grow, develop, and have fun.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· To ensure that all care practices comply with the relevant childcare legislation, National Standards for Children’s Residential Centres and Children’s First
· Liaise with the young person’s guardians, social worker and other agencies involved in the young child
· To interact with other teams and arrange group activities. Ensure all plans are agreed and communicated.
· To assess the needs of the young people. Assessments are completed in conjunction with the young persons PAT
· To provide activity therapy and recreation activities and occupational pursuits for all young people in the home
· Support the young persons development in both personal, social and self-care skills
· To be responsible for the management of budgets
· To Be flexible around rostering specifically in relation to the needs of the children and colleagues and the service as a whole
Role Requirements:
· Minimum level 7 degree in the social care sector
· Prior experience is not essential
· Full clean driving license
· Flexibility
