Special Care Nursey Nurses (NICU)

Description:

Cpl Healthcare in partnership with a leading public hospital based in based in Melbourne Victoria Australia seeking to hire AHPRA eligible nurses for roles in an acute NICU setting.

Our client’s hospital is a 454-bed public hospital located in Melbourne Victoria, these vacancies are within a special care nursey.

Key responsibilities 

  • Ability to work in all levels of neonatal nursing care after appropriate training and support with an emphasize on developing an area of expertise.
  • Provision of a safe level of care to neonates and their families based on a family-cantered care approach.
  • Provision of care in accordance with the Policy and procedures of the neonatal services.
  • Participation in the review and formulation of policies and procedures to meet national and international benchmarks.
  • Use of the Women’s electronic medical record (EMR) where required to fulfil the duties of this position.

Essential Criteria

  • Have AHPRA registration or eligible for APHRA registration.
  • Neonatal Nursing Certificate or equivalent, Post Graduate Midwifery or Paediatric nursing Qualification.
  • Neonatal Intensive Care or Special Care Nursing Experience within the last 2 years.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong computer literacy skills.
