Cpl Healthcare in partnership with a leading public hospital based in based in Melbourne Victoria Australia seeking to hire AHPRA eligible nurses for roles in operating to work in acute operating suite.

Our clients hospital is a 200-bed public hospital which consists of five operating theatres including one dedicated emergency theatre, two procedure rooms, and a ten bay PACU. Surgical specialties include obstetrics, gynaecology, urogynaecology, breast, and oncology.

Responsibilities 

  • Work across all areas of Theatre Nursing: Scrub, Scout, Recovery and Anaesthetics
  • To be professionally accountable for the standard of nursing care provided.
  • Ensures all mandatory competencies are maintained annually.
  • Ensures accurate documentation.
  • Works in accordance with the Victorian Public Sector Code of Conduct.

Essential Criteria

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Or diploma in Nursing.
  • Have AHPRA registration or eligible for APHRA registration.
  • Experience in women’s health nursing
  • Recent operating theatre or PACU experience
  • Keenness to rotate through all specialty areas: instrument/circulation, anaesthetics, and Post Anaesthetic Care Unit
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong commitment to consumer safety
