Want to work as a Nurse in the UK? The IELTS Alternative
Cpl Healthcare was live with Chris Moore, Managing Director of SLC – Specialist Language Courses and Cpl Healthcare’s Manager of Perm Nursing Recruitment, Aoife Berrigan to discuss the new alternative for the IELTS exam, the OET.
The OET – Occupational English Test was recently introduced by the NMC as an alternative to the IELTS exam. OET focuses on the language used by Medical professionals as opposed to IELTS, which is an academic English exam. According to Chris, the OET deals with the Medical English that International Nurses would be more familiar and comfortable speaking. “You can go from the training room into the workplace and practice the language.”
