Occupational Therapist – Nursing home step-down service

Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with our client, a leading nursing home group, are recruiting for an Occupational Therapist a new Nursing home opening in south Dublin city.

This new nursing home is expected to have a 140-bed capacity and will provide a step-down nursing service for admissions with mixed clinical acuity and complex care needs along with the provision of long-term elderly nursing care.

 This role would suit candidates with experience working within a primary care, rehabilitation or acute care setting working with the elderly.

 

The duties of this role include:

· Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will assess a patient’s communication, physical, cognitive, and interaction skills.

· Plan and review appropriate treatments and activities for clients and help them carry it out.

· Providing advice and support family members and carers.

· Help to adapt a client’s environment to fit their needs.

· Mentor patients on how to control their behaviour.

·  Assist people in their return to work.

Interested applicants should have:

· A recognised qualification as an Occupational Therapist and Professional Registration with CORU

·  1-2 years post-registration experience with a significant amount working with the elderly

· This is an excellent opportunity that offers above market rate salary package
