We offer a measured and controlled approach through appropriate programmes which are tailored to meet the needs of your workforce.

We can determine and provide the appropriate levels of medical assessment which may be required for various job positions.

Our Occupational Health programmes

Pre-employment medicals (PEM’s) are carried out to allow candidates to be screened for medical conditions that may affect their ability to perform the tasks in their job.  If medical conditions are discovered controls are advised which ensures the candidate is not likely to be adversely affected by their specific work-related tasks. PEM’s assessments will be carried out under the direction of our accredited Specialists in Occupational Medicine.

A proactive approach to sickness absence which focuses on early intervention will have positive benefits for both employees and management. Controlling sickness absence through ongoing medical assessments allows for:

  • Assessment of long term absent cases
  • Assessment of repeated short-term cases of absenteeism
  • Early intervention
  • Early return to work through effective rehabilitation and retention. Effective rehabilitation and retention not only foster a timely and healthy return to work, it also allows the employee who develops health problems remain in work for as long as possible.

The cost of not managing sickness absence results in:

  • Increased absenteeism
  • Reduced productivity and performance
  • Financial loss (Staff replacement, training)
  • Decreased morale (increased workload for colleagues)

Our aim in Cpl Occupational Health is to ensure the ongoing health and well-being of employees who may be exposed to identified occupational hazards, through the nature of their work. This can be either on a one to one basis or as part of a wider Health Surveillance (HS) programme. Once hazards have been identified a Health Surveillance programme is implemented to ensure the continued safety and well- being of the employees.=

Employee education and training is incorporated in the programme to create awareness regarding the hazards and the impact on health effects. Employees are trained and educated on various work-related topics such as Personal Protective Equipment. Risk assessments are used to identify the need for Health Surveillance and should not be used as a substitute for undertaking a risk assessment.

Our team are there to offer advice and relevant health education to clients regarding any occupational hazards or concerns in relation to the employee’s role including the appropriate workplace immunisations.

Our team are in the position to provide on or off-site immunisation depending on requirements. We are adept at managing staff immunisation programmes and have vast experience in initiating both new programmes and the delivery of mass immunisation programmes. We have successfully sourced vaccines – even in times of shortage – and we have both the medical and non-medical staffing requirements needed to deliver such projects.

A health screening programme is beneficial for employers as it gives an indication of the overall health of your employee population. We provide a detailed analysis allowing you to develop work place wellbeing programmes tailored to your employees.
