Senior Occupational Therapist – Acute private hospital Dublin

Senior Occupational Therapist required for permanent position with leading private hospital, North Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced independent occupational therapy practitioner seeking to further develop their career in an advanced acute care service.

As a Senior Occupational Therapist you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of Occupational Therapy service is provided for patients including:

·      Patient assessment and diagnosis

·      Treatment plan for each patient

·      Monitoring and reassessment of patient progress

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be required to demonstrate the following clinical competencies and demonstrate the following knowledge base; cognitive assessments, functional assessments, home assessments, discharge planning in the acute sector, ADL equipment - assessment and prescription, pressure care, seating assessment and prescription, basic knowledge of upper and lower static splinting, knowledge of onward referral to HSE and non HSE community services and agencies.

Interest candidates will be required to have:

·      A Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Occupational Therapy and CORU registration.

·      A minimum 3 years post-graduate experience

·      Experience in medical rehabilitation and preferable

·      Ability to use own initiative, work independently and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

·      High level of flexibility and problem-solving skills to ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient service.

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·      Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage a high-volume workload.
