Cpl Healthcare is delighted to have partnered with The National Ambulance Service to recruit for the role of Clinical Hub Nurse Advisor.

There are currently opportunities in both Tallaght, Co. Dublin and Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal. These roles will provide nurses with an opportunity to develop skills and knowledge to become a competent telephone triage nurse, specialising in the overall management of low acuity patients who present to The NAS.

The is a new dynamic role where the successful candidate will provide telephonic clinical assessment and management for the Low Acuity 112/999 calls, utilising appropriate clinical triage within the NAS care pathway. Patients will be directed to the appropriate service that best meets their needs. Responsibilities will include assessment, medication advice and health information,  supporting individuals to access the appropriate level of care required, where clinically appropriate.

This role will ideally be filled on a fulltime basis but can offer flexibility and part time hours at a minimum of 0.5 wte. The service is open 365 days, 24/7 which will require shift working to provide on-going reliable appropriate care for patients who present to NAS.

To be considered for the role, the following criteria will apply:

  • The post holder must be registered, or eligible for registration, on the General Nurse Division of the NMBI

AND

  • 3 years out of the past 5 years post-registration experience in an Acute Care setting,
  • Emergency Medicine Nursing
  • Triage experience and treatment decisions of multiple patients
  • Experience of the Manchester Triage System or other clinical triage systems.
