Cpl Healthcare is seeking expressions of interest/CV applications for the post of Consultant Respiratory & General Physician in a teaching Hospital in the West of Ireland.

This is a specified purpose whole-time full-time vacancy where the successful candidate will be part of a large multidisciplinary team, delivering this essential service. There is a requirement to participate in an on-call rota. The successful candidate will be required to meet the objectives of delivering high quality Consultant led Services and to manage and lead a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of a comprehensive medical service.

To be considered eligible you must :

• Be registered in or in the process of registering with the Irish Medical Council 
• Preference for candidates who are registered in the specialty division of the IMC but consideration will be given to candidates who have general registration with relevant experience.
• Demonstrate appropriate experience and ability in providing General Medical and Respiratory Care related services at a Consultant level
• Demonstrate evidence of effective planning and organising skills including awareness of resource management and importance of value for money
• Ability to liaise with service providers on a local and regional basis.
• Ability and experience to participate in teaching, audit and research.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills
• Demonstrate awareness and appreciation of the service users
• Demonstrate leadership and team management skills
• Display evidence based clinical knowledge in making decisions regarding client care
• Ideally have Irish or UK experience
• Have excellent English skills
• Eligible to work in Ireland
