Director of Nursing, Elderly Care

Description:

Cpl Healthcare is seeking applications for the role of Director of Nursing/Person in Charge for a 56 bed nursing home in Co Roscommon.

The successful candidate will join a well-established and regarded nursing home which provides retirement, palliative, convalescent, dementia and respite care. You will oversee the management of the nursing home, ensuring the establishment and maintenance of a standard of residential care aligned with national and international best practices and coordinate staff to meet set standards with the support from the office team, including HR, Finance, and Quality Teams.

To be considered for the role, the following criteria apply:

  • Third Level Degree in Nursing.
  • Registered with An Bord Altranais with an active PIN.
  • Proven clinical competence and a passion for delivering outstanding care to older people.
  • 3 years of experience in a management capacity.
  • 3 years of experience in nursing older people within the last 6 years.
  • 6 years of post-registration nursing experience.
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland

Desired:

  • Post-registration qualification in healthcare management or equivalent.
  • Post-registration qualification in Gerontology or Dementia Care.
