The States of Guernsey is looking for Orthopaedic Staff Nurses to join their Orthopaedic Unit. This specialist unit manages orthopaedic trauma patients such as spinal injuries, upper and lower limb fractures, and back pain & elective procedures also including hip, knee, shoulder, wrist, hand and ankle surgery.
Essential Selection Criteria:
Current first level registration with the NMC.
Desirable Criteria:
Completed an approved mentor course at level 2 or equivalent.
Competence in intravenous drug administration.
Portfolio of evidence to meet KSF agreed criteria.
Experience/Knowledge:
Experience co-ordinating ward activities, delegating appropriately.
Evidence of effective communication skills; with particular reference to Multidisciplinary team working, service users, carers and managers.
Ability to prioritise and organise own workload.
Understanding and ability to apply evidence based care.
Evidence of self and professional development.
Skills:
Professional approach to work.
Maintains high professional and personal standards.
Maintains patient confidentiality.

Note:
Our client offer a full relocation package which includes interview and relocation travel, this is in addition to their competitive pay (better than the UK) and annual bonus and additional bonus scheme of £3,000, payable after two and four years service.
