Grade: Band 7 - £52,932 - £62,975 BAR £65,112 - £69,605 per annum.

The States of Guernsey are looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Infection Prevention and Control to join the team at Hospital Services.This role will provide specialist infection prevention control and advice to all healthcare and other professionals within the bailiwick of Guernsey, participating in the on-call service. It will provide specialist advice to support the assessment, planning and implementation of patient care and contribute to the education and training program for HSC staff and other professionals within the Bailiwick of Guernsey.

Selection Criteria: 

Essential:

·      Registered Nurse.

·      Teaching/Mentoring Qualifications.

·      Diploma in a related field.

·      Demonstrates specialist knowledge underpinned by theory acquired through CPD.

·      Evidence of involvement in the development of protocol and audit.

·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

FULL QUALIFICATIONS (TO BE ACHIEVED BY SECOND GATEWAY)

·      Degree in a related field.
