Grade: - Band 7 - £52,932 - £62,975 BAR £65,112 - £69,605 per annum

The States of Guernsey are looking for a Senior Practitioner to join the team at Mental Health Service.

To provide highly specialist nursing care within the Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, in the multi-disciplinary team approach to the management of clients in the service with neuro-developmental disorders. The individual will build close working relationships with all agencies that interplay in the care of these young people. They will monitor the treatment of young people in the delivery of integrated pathways.

Minimum Qualification

·        Registered Mental Health Nurse

·        Extensive experience in working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD within a CAMHS setting.

·        Additional working knowledge of other treatment modalities such as DBT, CBT and Systemic therapy.

·         Full driving license

·        Supervision skills

Full Qualifications to be achieved by second gateway

·        Management Qualification Level 5

·          Evidence of managing own workload with excellent time management skills

·          Evidence of the ability to effectively manage resources

·          Evidence of relevant CPD

·          A high standard of communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deal with complex and challenging situations in a calm and diplomatic manner

·          Ability to lead and motivate staff

·          A flexible approach with the ability to work within a challenging environment meeting the needs of the service

·          The ability to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team

·          Commitment to self-development and the development of others

·          Adaptable and responsive to changing service needs

·          Ability to deal with stress in self and others, recognising when support is required

Note;

·          Our client offers a full relocation package which includes interview and relocation travel, this is in addition to their competitive pay (better than the UK) and annual bonus and additional bonus scheme of £3,000, payable after two- and four-years’ service.

·          Furthermore, our client offers subsidised accommodation for those travelling to the Island alone, and an 8-year employment permit for those wishing to bring a partner or family.
