Private Eye Clinic in South Dublin is seeking registered nurses for their Ophthalmology Clinic.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a more relaxed schedule and environment, with 4x 10hr shifts per week from Monday to Saturday.
Main duties in this role
• Assists with the pre-operative set up and cleaning of surgery, preparing all necessary equipment, ensuring everything is in good working order. Prepares relevant pre/peri/post operative medication for patients undergoing surgery and recording all dispensing according to the clinics policies.
• Ensures adequate stock levels are appropriately maintained for all surgical supplies.
• Carries out weekly audits of medicines and reports any discrepancies to the Surgery Manager / Clinic Manager.
• Ensures infection control audits are completed weekly.
• Ensure all emergency equipment checked every morning before surgery.
• Assists surgeons in all refractive procedures.
• Assists in discharge of all patients post refractive surgery.
• Carries out monthly audits.
• Assists in the physical and psychological pre-op preparation of patients.
• Abides by companies' policies and procedures.
• Must always act in a professional manor and abide by codes of nursing conduct laid down by the NMBI.
• Must be registered with NMBI.
• Must have fluent English
• Must be available to work flexible hours to suit the needs of business.
